In the Library of the Runemasters, it's easy to get lost due to all of the action taking place. Having a good understanding of how to successfully win the warfront is crucial to success. Here we'll take a look at how winners are determined, as well as strategies for ensuring your victory!
Goals
The goal of this warfront is to obtain 1000 points before the enemy does, or at least to have more than them when it ends. There are two different ways to earn points within this warfront:
- Kill an enemy - 2 point each
- Hold a vessel - 3 points per tick
Looking at the above, it may seem that killing enemy players is an efficient method of earning points, but it's really not. The speed at which the vessels tick (around once every 2 seconds or so) makes them significantly more effective.
Within the map, there are many vessels that will spawn at a time. Keeping as many of these as possible is important. Each player can only hold 1, and the vessels will be doing an increasing amount of damage the longer it's held. As such, having healers is extremely important for this map.
As for the layout of the map, there are a total of 3 layers. The very top if where the respawn point is for players, and the 1st and 2nd layers are where the vessels spawn, as well as the area most of the battle takes place. To get down to those areas, you can jump off of the side of the top layer (there is no falling damage!) or use the portals to the left and right. Using the portals gives a nice damage buff as well.

Strategies
The map shown above illustrates the starting positions of the vessels. There are a total of 8 spawning points (they cover each of the 4 corners and then each of the 4 mid-sections). Those in the corner are on the 2nd floor and those in the mid-sections are on the 1st floor.
The goal here, as stated is to hold as many vessels as possible. At the same time, however, you also have to stay alive. There is one strategy that works here extremely well, which is to send half of the players through the east and the other half through the west portal. Here, whoever gets through the portal next to the first vessel first should pick it up quickly and run ahead with the rest of the group. The rest will continue up the west and east sides and pick up those vessels, followed by meeting up in the middle of the map.
Once you are in the middle, it gives a huge advantage in that it's on the 2nd floor and therefore you can attack those below in the pit (and can use the wall to help LoS attacks) and you can also attack enemy players as they trickle down from the spawning point. At this point the goals are to hold the middle and also pick up vessels as they spawn. Depending on how organized the enemies are, you may need to send a group of 2-3 players to get a vessel, just for safety in numbers. However, you do not want to send everyone as the middle is by far the most important area of the map when it comes to strategic placement.
The other thing you need to do is be careful when holding vessels. Never group the vessel holders together, as doing so allows players to AoE them. This, combined with the already-ticking DoT can cause their health to drop very quick.
If your side ends up losing control of the middle, you will want to go back as a large group to re-take it. Along with this, at all times, you will want to target vessels first. Do this even above healers; the damage the holders will receive will (with your attacks especially) knock them out quicker than they can be healed. This causes the vessel to re-spawn and allows you to take it.
