World event of RIFT 1.4 entered a new stage, new daily quest have come out! CHECK!

Updates Coming to 1.4 Planar Menace: Legacy of the Fallen

It’s energizing to see all the excited posts about 1.4 and the new features and content it’s brought to RIFT. With 1.4 also came the next Planar Menace with all new daily quests to do and rewards to earn. Based on feedback and our own experiences we’re working on making the following changes in upcoming Hot Fixes – our goal is to make Legacy of the Fallen a stress-free and fun way to celebrate the update (and get cool stuff of course!)

• * We’ll be changing the daily requiring you to kill a Dragon Mote to a weekly reward and increase the rewards, this will allow you to better plan on when you can grow your Mossy Tartagon to maturity.
• * Rifts/Invasions will start dropping the Quintessence’s (if they reward XP), but with a lower drop rate than Motes.
• * While we’re still on the subject of the Mossy Tartagon, we’re making sure the mount scales with your fastest mount and is useable at any level. It will default to 60 if you don’t yet own a mount.
• * The rate at which Motes spawn will also be increased this should provide a greater opportunity for you to find and kill them.
• * Quintessence’s will also continue to drop from Rifts/Invasions after the event is over – so you don’t need to spend all your Dragon Tears yet! (Unless you want to of course )

And on that mote...erm, note: Did you know it’s actually far less efficient to purchase quintessence’s than it is to earn them from Motes (and soon Rifts/Invasions)? So don’t feel you have to skip everything on the store just to get the mount - especially since you can continue to grow it and earn Quintessences after the event has ended!

1. Planar Menace Daily Quests

Abyssal Visions (New)

• Objective:
•   - Use the Amulet of the Abyss on a Devout Citizen
•   - Use the Amulet of the Abyss on a Devout Trainee
•   - Use the Amulet of the Abyss on a Devout Artist
• Reward: 25x Dragon Tear

I only get the Sanctum version of this quest. It's very easy, just remember, DON'T MOVE until the bar goes to the end when you use the quest item.

Clearcut (New)

Looking into the Legacy (New)

*Note: This quest will cost your 50 Dragon Tears.

• Requires: Gather Dragon Tears and returen them to the NPC in Sanctum/Meridian.
• Objective: Collect Dragon Tears 0/50.
• Reward: 1x Curio Chest

If you are wondering what's inside the Curio Chest, check the pics above. After testing for many times, I found out that you will get lots of cash and an blue artifact/a green artifact + Plaque of Achievement. The rewards are randomly. 1P+ are realy a great amount for newbies. The first inflation in RIFT is coming!

And I found another curious issue that Cleric and Rogue will get more money than Warrior and Mage(they are less than 1P). Is it true?

Masques of the Wild (Upcoming)

Running Wild [Group (3)] (Upcoming)

• Requires: Search the area for the rumored Aelfwar Abomination and kill the ghastly creature. Return with the Mote-Touched Heart of the beast.
• Objective:
    - Track and kill the Aelfwar Abomination
    - Collect the Mote-Touched Heart of the Aelfwar Abomination
• Reward: 50x Dragon Tears

Plant Food (Over)

Just find the plant and target it, use the quest item to test it.

Lingering Madness (Over)

Remnants of the Aelfwar (Over)

• Objective: Use Tavril's Sanctifier on an Aelfwar Seeker Corpse 0/9
• Reward: 25x Dragon Tear

2. Planar Menace Weekly Quests

The Matter of Motes

Objective: Collect the Dragon Mote Core from a Dragon Mote of green difficulty or higher

Reward: 8x Dragon Quintessence

Dragon Mote will appear in the map randomly. Though the amount is limited, you can find them easily on your map by checking the dragon mote sign.

• Requires: Find the Hidden Cache and open it for our reward.
• Objective: Locate the Hidden Cache
• Reward: 1x Salt Encrusted Bag (Contains items from a lost cache of treasure).
